Montelparo is situated in a perfect position:

In January, for many decades, for the anniversary of the festivity of Sant'Antonio (Saint Anthony) takes place the traditional celebration dedicated to the saint where you can eat the “coppo” (abundant portion of salted codfish together with the excellent wine produced by the local cellars). In this occasion arrive in Montelparo persons from the neighbouring cities but also from all the centre of Italy; in the last editions of this event they cooked 25 quintals of this food.
During the summer period, tourists from all over the world come to Montelparo, in particular from United Kingdom, Belgium, Netherlands and most of all from Rome (a lot of citizens of Montelparo found a job and live there), so in order to make the stay of the vacationers more pleasant and for the joyful nature of the population, they organize many events that culminates with the Polenta fair (corn mush), in the mid of August.
A few years ago they opened in Montelparo a wonderful bicycle museum. the bicycles were used from the peddlers to do various arts and crafts.
Montelparo is the perfect place for the nature lovers because there is the possibility to do long and relaxing strolls immersed in the nature, but also for those who love sports, in particular horseback riding and tennis because there is an excellent stable and several tennis fields.
